Von Mapsource gibts die Version 6.15.11 bzw die Betaversion 6.16.0.2
Hat da schon jemand Erfahrung damit?

Changes made from version 6.15.7 to 6.15.11:

* Improved performance for custom draw elements.
* Made sure waypoints of type 'Geotagged Photo' don't crash MapSource.
* Allowed the import and export of unlock codes.
* Made sure unlocking changes get propagated without needing to restart the application.
* Phone numbers that were imported from gpx files were not written back out again. This is now fixed.
* Added support for enhanced map security.
* Fixed unlocking issue.
* Implemented Asian 6-level address search.
* Improved trimming performance for some Asian map products.

Changes made from version 6.15.11 to 6.16.0.2:

* Fixed memory issues and crashes when running MapSource under Windows 7.
* Map projection for many map products was improved. The projection angle is now based on the extents of the map product.
* Fixed issues with reading and writing large GPX files.
* Improved rendering performance.
* Added support for 64-bit USB device drivers.
* MapSource will now zoom in and out when the mouse wheel is used.
* Added generic label descriptions (less 'unknown' features).
* Fixed various categories and subcategories that affected find operations and the display of POI categories and subcategories.
* Relevant data can now be imported from TCX files.
* Added very small and very large symbol size selection.
* Made sure to remember search category in 'Find Nearest' dialog.
* Fixed issues with file dialog (in some cases, existing files were overwritten without prompting).
* Changed route via point symbol to small black dot. Symbol can be changed via registry.
* Fixed some issues with the Swedish grid.
* Added New Zealand TM grid.
* Fixed issue with address search when a city name was supplied.
* The total length of all selected tracks/routes will now be displayed in the status bar.
* Fixed loss of mixed-case characters when transferring routes to USB devices.
* Routes, tracks and waypoints are now sorted numerically.
* Fixed an issue with the refreshing of the route avoidances dialog.
* Fixed issue with finding elevation features.
* Fixed an issue where the comment field would be mangled up after creating a waypoint from a find result.
* Maps that are locked because of a missing signature file will be displayed as 'unauthenticated' in the Map Product Manager.
* After a crash, the user now has the option to send an error report directly to Garmin.

Ich nehme an, damit ist der neue Kopierschutz von Garmin gemeint. Mit der Europa CN NT 2010.30 wurde ja etwas Neues eingeführt. Wie der genau fkt etc. kann ich dir aber nicht sagen, da ich über das LifeTime-Gschichtl verfügt. Aber ein paar Details findest du hier: https://forum.garmin.de/showthread.php?t=2515

ein wenig Info zum neuen Kopierschutz aus einer Mail von Garmin:

In this first phase we will be adding a digital signature to be paired with our existing unlock codes to ensure that the unlock code was created by Garmin and not an external tool such as Keygen. Content released prior to this change will continue to work as it currently does on both old and new units. Only new content released after this technology becomes available (with new license files from Garmin) will benefit from the changes. Note also that new map releases will continue to function on existing devices with no change needed on your part. Moving forward, nearly all Garmin devices will expect a digital signature to be present for any map unlock code associated with new mapping content. Without this signature, the map will not be recognized in the Garmin devices.

In the second phase to be implemented soon, we will be adding a signature directly in the map binary as well. This mechanism will allow our devices to detect when certain modifications have been applied to the map file after production, particularly the removal or modification of the locking structures themselves. This phase will require you to have internet connectivity at the time your products are built, so that appropriate signature information can be generated behind our firewall for each map, and inserted into the binary when you build the product. Please plan ahead as needed

Phase 1 wurde in den Mapsource-Versionen ab 6.15.09 verwirklicht aber ist inzwischen schon wieder ausgehebelt, Phase 2 könnte da etwas interessanter werden aber ich denke das es auch nicht allzulange dauern wird bis auch das dann wieder "behoben" ist

es gibt von der 6.15.11 eine gecrackte version die sich nicht um den neuen kopierschutz schert, aber im navi-board findest die nicht da musst schon an andern löblicheren stellen suchen

Es gibt aber auch gar keinen Grund das neue update durchzuführen

die neuen mapsource versionen werden mit den neuen karten zwangsweise upgedated und es gibt zB eine kachel in der neuen CN mit der das alte mapsource nicht zurechtkommt

ja schon aber mit der 6.15.11 und dem "patcherl" tut das dann wieder, so gesehen gibts momentan keinen Bedarf, und wenn neue Karten kommen sollten gibts auch wieder Lösungen (nehme ich jetzt mal an )

jo lösungen wirds immer geben, vorallen solange es die fertigen karten auch auf sd-karte die zur aktivierung nicht registriert werden müssen zu kaufen gibt
es wird halt für die normalanwender schwerer an "gratis" karten zu kommen, die freaks hält es aber sicher nicht auf
